This session of the Employers’ School will bring you up to speed on the new employment laws for 2018 and will provide a brief insight into the legislative process from which these new laws originated. We will highlight each law of significance and discuss the impacts these laws will have on organizations. We will also introduce case law that has either clarified or created a new interpretation of existing law employers should be aware of in 2018.

The second half of the session will address the ever-changing landscape of leaves management in California. With the new regulation mandated by SB 63, affecting employers with 20 or more employees, it is prudent to gain an understanding of the leaves that specifically apply to your organization.
