Meet the Team

Joanne Cadarette

Assistant Account Manager
Joanne began her insurance career in 1979. She joined InterWest Insurance Services as a transcriber and typist when it was known as Noack and Dean in 1991. In 1992, when computers entered the scene, she began working in Commercial Lines processing certificates and endorsements. She continues to assist the account managers in all day to day operations. When Joanne is not servicing our clients’ needs, she is working on DIY home improvement projects and spending time in her yard, gardening. She enjoys spending time with friends attending Cal Berkeley football and basketball games.


Catherine Killian, ARM

Program Administrator
Catherine began her insurance career in 1984. She joined InterWest Insurance in 1999. She has worked with insurance carriers and agencies in underwriting, operations, marketing, account management and risk management positions. Before her insurance career, she was involved with several manufacturing operations in production and inventory control. She has obtained her Associate in Business and her Associate in Risk Management. When Catherine is not servicing our client’s needs, she is a mentor for junior and senior high youth and young moms. She enjoys cooking, cycling, and golfing with her husband.


Cheryl Trusler, CISR Elite

Account Manager

Cheryl has been in the insurance industry for 36 years, starting by working in her father’s insurance agency here in Sacramento. She has previously worked for InterWest for 13 years and has recently re-joined our team.  She brings a great amount of  industry expertise in construction. Cheryl has a reputation for technical excellence and is CISR, Elite accredited. We know you will find Cheryl very willing to accommodate your  service needs.

Cheryl has been married to her husband John for over 23 years. They enjoy many outdoor activities such as fly fishing, target (pistol) practice and golf.  She also enjoys time with her granddaughter, Brianna, and her two Boston Terriers, Katie and Emma.


Kim Olafsen, CRIS

Account Manager
Kim began her insurance career in 1995. She joined InterWest Insurance in 2012. Kim has experience working with insurance carriers and agencies as Underwriter, Senior Customer Service Representative and Account Manager. Kim originated from Oregon and then moved to Southern California for 16 years prior to relocating to the Sacramento area to be closer to family. Prior to Kim’s insurance career, she worked in the food industry. When Kim is not servicing our client’s needs, she enjoys spending time with family and is actively involved in her children’s sports activities.


Greg Scoville

Vice President, Program Director
Greg began his insurance career in 1980. Greg Scoville joined one of InterWest’s predecessor organizations, Lindo, Hanna & Abbott, in 1989, to give them a presence in Sacramento and has been a principal since. Greg began his insurance career 30+ years ago working in his father’s insurance agency. He attended Chapman College in Southern California where he played college baseball. After college, Greg continued his insurance career as a Personal Lines Manager for two years. In 1984, he began his commercial lines focus with a national insurance firm, where he specialized in Construction. Greg is primarily interested in developing long-term business relationships by facilitating and representing the needs of his clients as their broker. He predominantly specializes in construction, with an emphasis on street and road construction, for which he manages and directs a successful program on the west coast. Greg has lived in the Sacramento area most of his life and enjoys the adventures of the outdoor life, from cycling to fishing and hunting. Greg has three adult children and several grandchildren. Greg is involved in several community outreach programs.
